A americana Katy Perry lidera em indicações para o Video Music Awards de 2011. A cantora pop foi indicada a nove categorias do prêmio da MTV. O anúncio foi feito na quarta-feira. Ela concorre aos mais disputados prêmio, com Clipe do Ano e Melhor Clipe Feminino, por Firework. O vídeo de Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) está indicado na categoria de Melhor Clipe Pop.

A cantora britânica Adele foi indicada em sete categorias por Rolling in the Deep, mesmo número de indicações que recebeu o rapper Kanye West pelos vídeos de Power e All of the Lights.

O prêmio será entregue no dia 28 de agosto e a votação já está aberta no site da MTV americana.
